Gulrukh is a fully qualified and practicing Holistic Specialist, dealing with Mind, Body and Spirit for 20 years.

She has extensively studied Energy Medicine, along with other Holistic modalities and holds Professional Certification in: Advanced Law of Attraction, Clinical Aromatherapy with Acupressure Massage and Oriental Diagnosis, Clinical Aromatherapy for Skin Conditions & Other Ailments, Advanced Theta Healing, Intuitive Body Scanning, Advanced Baby Massage. She also works professionally with 'Life Activations and Alignments', 'Quantum Distant Healing', and 'Scalar Wave: Light Therapy’. (Cold Laser)

She is a natural ‘Empath and Intuitive’ and is able to work on subtle as well as physical levels. She arises from a lineage of Complementary Medical Practitioners; her Paternal Grandfather Sir Maqsood Jung, was the Unani Practitioner to The Nizam of Hyderabad (at one time the World’s richest man), and the President of India. *(Unani, or Yunani, is a traditional Graeco-Asian medical treatment practiced widely in South-East Asia, and based on the teachings of Greek Physician Hippocrates, and Roman Physician Galen).

Her late Uncle, Idries Shah was renowned for his books on Sufism, and was best remembered for introducing Sufism to Western Academia.

She holds Amnesty International certification in ‘Fundamentals of Human Rights’.


Gulrukh is an award-winning international film maker. She has directed, produced and scripted a diverse range of short films, education videos and documentaries over 20 years.

She is currently in post-production for a documentary feature called Spirit2Power featuring many highly acclaimed World Champions, Masters and Celebrities. The film is due for release in 2018.

In addition, she is currently also in mid production on a documentary feature about the mystery of the Bosnian Pyramids to be finished in 2018. Robert Watts, a 2 | P a g e Producer on the original Star Wars and Indiana Jones series and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is honorary Executive Producer for this.

She made a 4 part TV documentary series on dolphins, marine life and human impact called Blue Velvet In Sinai . It won Best Documentary Feature Award at the Moondance Film Festival in New York in 2012. The main subject of her Dolphin series is Richard O’Barry, who trained the Flipper dolphins for the popular TV series Flipper. (O’Barry collected the Oscar for Best Documentary for The Cove, in 2010).

She produced and co-scripted a short film on Relief Advertising called Mantra for the New Millennium, along with (late) award-winning director, Michael Portelly. (Best remembered for his award winning film, Oceans Daughter, and acclaimed Cheltenham and Gloucester Building Society TV advertisement - of a boy diving for a pearl). Mantra for the New Millennium was shown in the presence of ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair, at The Festival of Light in 2000 at Alexander Palace. The film was subsequently also shown at the UN Peace Summit the following year - in the presence of Kofi Anan and at International festivals.

She also directed a film of a special conference held at the United Nations in New York, called Sciartmet (Science, Arts and Metaphysics), created by Konstantin Pavlides. It featured eminent people from the respective fields, discussing how combined efforts in these fields, could be used in addressing important world issues.


She is the Founding Chairperson for ‘ALL London’ and organised a large launch at Prince Zylinski's Mini palace in London in January 2016.

She is UK Chairperson of ‘ALL’ global from 2015 to January 2019, under the patronage of Dr Harbeen Arora and Mr Vinay Rai, the founders of ‘ALL’ (global) and their signature ‘WEF’ (Women Economic Forum)

She was on the Executive Advisory Board for ‘WEF’ Delhi in May 2017.

She is on the International Advisory Board for ‘The Bosnian Pyramids Foundation’ (Bosnia and Hertogovina).


She has been a judge on The ‘Limelight Film Awards’ (London) 2013 and the Presenter for ‘Best Short Film’ for ‘The Limelight Film Awards’ (London) 2014 and 2017.

She was a panel judge on the ‘Migrant Woman Awards’ (London) 2016.

She is co-founder of ‘The Inclusion Convention’ (Think Tank) which is hosting its inaugural conference on ‘Institutional Sexual Harrassment: Are Institutions Silent Witnesses?’ Powered by the Telegraph UK newspaper group. (London) 2018 .

She is a co-organiser of ‘Wintrade Week and Awards UK’ - a 5 day high profile convention with gala dinner and awards, being hosted at the House of Lords and other corporate headquarters across London in May 2018.


She has spoken at the House of Commons for an ‘ALL London’ event (in conjunction with ‘UPF’ and ‘The Justina Mutale Foundation’) for International Womens Day (London) 2016.

She spoke on a panel on the subject of ‘water as a resource’, at the Ecology Society, alongside the Ambassadors of Kazhakistan and Uzbekistan and a US Diplomat for Science and Technology. (London) 2016.

She has spoken at various ‘Women Economic Forums;: Goa 2015, Delhi 2016, World Forum – The Hague 2017 and London 2017

She was MC and speaker for the London launch of global organisation ‘Empower a Billion Women by 2020’ (London) 2017.

She will be speaking at the Lazslo Institute in Italy, in 2018 at a conference on Health.

Her father's second cousin, is the Bollywood and internationally acclaimed, award winning Actor / Performer Nasiruddin Shah.

Her cousin, Saira Shah, daughter of Idries Shah, is a prolific film-maker and made the Channel Four award-winning documentary 'Beneath The Veil'.

One of her nieces, Aisha Khan is one of Pakistan’s leading TV actresses.

Her father’s cousin, General Zameeruddin Shah was a vice Presidential candidate for the 2017 India Elections.
