Homayra Sellier; is the founder and CEO of Innocence in Danger; a worldwide movement to protect minors against all forms of abuse & exploitation online and off-line; including trafficking. Nominated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization/UNESCO on 1999 (following the bust and dismantling of what was then considered as the biggest child exploitation network online); to carry out the action plan of the global campaign on "Sexual Abuse of Children, Child Pornography and Pedophilia on the Internet: "An International Challenge". Since April 2000; Innocence in Danger is an independent entity constituted as "non- governmental organizations" in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Colombia, the UK & the US.
Bachelored from two French universities Homayra Sellier has written four books and
participated in a number of documentaries for International TV. Awarded for her work in child
trafficking. Mrs Sellier's and the organisation's work have influenced changes in the law.
Participating in investigations when invited to. A primary judge at the TRIFF film festival. On
2002; Mrs Sellier initiated art and sports therapies for survivors of sexual abuse whose cases
are followed by the organisationin national courts; the art therapy program was assessed and
studied by German, French, Suisse and South American experts, as of 2015, it was labelled as
resilient and therapeutic.
The art thérapies sessions are now carried out by National structures of the organisation in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Colombia, welcoming, hosting and sponsoring over 100 survivors per year. As fo 2018; Innocence in Danger collaborates with scientists on bio-genetic brain research, in order to underline the lifetime impacts of brain alterations experienced by survivors of abuse and ill-treatment in early ages; the outcome of this studies/research can result in a breakthrough progress in preventive medicine as well as in the juridical world. Migrants: thinking and acting differently; creating a Village of Hope in Iraqi Kurdistan with AFAM is also one of Homayra's latest projects.
